The Long Beach Stamp Collectors Club was organized in 1926 by a group of avid stamp collectors. Their first meeting was held on November 22, 1926, at the Long Beach YMCA and was conducted by the temporary Chairman, Mr. Earl Morrison. In 1928, the club became a chapter member of the American Philatelic Society and as of today remains a member in good standing. The Long Beach Stamp Collectors Club was incorporated in 1953. The club is now known as the LONG BEACH STAMP CLUB, INC., with the name change on February 14, 1973. It was on March 23, 1931, when the Long Beach Stamp Collectors Club held the "First Club Annual Stamp Exhibit" in the Long Beach Auditorium. In 1981, The name of the show was changed to "LOBEX" which stands for "Long Beach Stamp Expo" The Long Beach Stamp Club owns the trademark "LOBEX" TM
The Long Beach Stamp Club Normally Meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Millikan High School in the cafeteria, the address is 2900 Snowden Avenue in Long Beach, California.
